چکیده
ABSTRACT: This study evaluated the levels of heavy metals in soil and castor bean plant after fertilization with sewage sludge (SS) subjected to different stabilization processes. The was conducted a Haplic Cambisol following treatments: control (CO), solarized (SSS), composted (CSS), vermi (VSS), limed (LSS), mineral fertilizer (MF). experimental design included subdivided plot scheme being primary factor layers or leaf parts secondary factor. data obtained were analyzed using analysis variance Scott-Knott test 5% significance. Fertilization SSS, CSS, LSS led highest increase Zn soil, mainly surface layer. In tissues, Cu higher CO SSS treatments, whereas Ni level VSS, MF treatments. general, limb than petiole, Ni, Pb, Cr petiole limb. any case, no symptoms toxicity plants risk contamination observed

Nutrients and Heavy Metals in Biochar Produced by Sewage Sludge Pyrolysis: Its Application in Soil Amendment
The production of sewage sludge has been sharply increasing by municipal sludge treatment plants in China. Sewage sludge is a difficult waste to manage not only due to the high quantities produced but also due to its high concentration of heavy metals and pathogens. The pyrolytic conversion of sewage sludge to biochar and then applied to the land is a sustainable management potion. Therefore, t...

Morera, M. T., Echeverría, J. C. and Garrido, J. J. 2001. Mobility of heavy metals in soils amended with sewage sludge. Can. J. Soil Sci. 81: 405–414. Sewage sludges added to arable land can improve soil fertility and physical properties. However, the concentrations of heavy metals commonly found in sludges limits their application to soil. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the mobility ...

Morera, M. T., Echeverría J. and Garrido, J. 2002. Bioavailability of heavy metals in soils amended with sewage sludge. Can. J. Soil Sci. 82: 433–438. The recycling of sewage sludge to agricultural land results in the slow accumulation of potentially toxic heavy metals in soils. A greenhouse experiment was conducted to determine the bioavailability of Cu, Ni, Pb and Zn applied to soils in urban...
متن کاملMonometal and competitive adsorption of heavy metals by sewage sludge-amended soil.
Sewage sludge-amended soils may alter their ability to adsorb heavy metals over time, due to the decomposition of sludge-borne organic matter. Thus, we studied Cd, Ni, and Zn adsorption by a sewage sludge-amended soil (Typic Xerofluvent) before and after one-year incubation in both monometal and competitive systems. In the monometal system, the order of decreasing sorption was Zn>Cd>Ni. Competi...

Background & Aims of the Study: One of the most important pollutants in drinking water, air and soils is heavy metals. It is very harmful for humans and other live organisms. The purpose of this study was the usage of a co-composting process for removal of heavy metals from municipal solid waste and sewage sludge. Materials and Methods: This experimental study was a condu...
